Rán's Wake is made by Georges Duplessy. This page covers the public site at ranswake.vercel.app and the waitlist form on it. It is written for a pre-launch page, not a shipped store build.

What is collected

• The email address you type into the waitlist, if you submit the form.
• The page you signed up from, a timestamp, and a coarse network address used only to slow down spam.
• Browser storage for two local flags: that you dismissed the storage notice, and that a signup succeeded on this device.

The game itself is not online and does not send player data from this site.

How it is used

Your email is used to send at most two messages: one when a public Windows build is ready, and one if that date moves. It is not sold, rented, or used for other lists. There is no drip sequence.

Who can see it

Signups are processed on Vercel. Depending on how the waitlist is configured, the address is emailed to the developer and/or posted to a private webhook the developer controls. Vercel Web Analytics runs on the site; it does not use advertising cookies and is not tied to your waitlist email.

Storage notice

The banner on the site describes the two local flags above. Accepting it only hides the banner. You can clear those flags by clearing this site's data in your browser.

How long it is kept

Waitlist addresses are kept until the launch emails have been sent, or until you ask to be removed. After that they are deleted from the list used to mail people.

Your choices

Email gduplessy@gmail.com to correct your address, get a copy of what is stored, or be removed. Launch emails will also include a way to stop further mail. You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority where you live if you believe this is mishandled.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child submitted an email, write to the address below and it will be deleted.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that affects how emails are used, the updated date above will change. The waitlist copy on the homepage will still say what you are signing up for.
